Welcome to the Annual Gulf Coast Triathlon (GCT)! What began as an economic development idea has grown into the best long-course triathlon in the Southeast. Each year, 1500 triathletes converge on Panama City Beach and test their strength with a 1.2 mile swim in the Gulf of Mexico, 56 mile bike through Bay County, and a 13.1 mile run in residential neighborhoods in PCB.

The GCT is proud to be the Southeast’s premier destination triathlon! Held every Mothers’ Day weekend, the Gulf Coast Triathlon is the US’ oldest not-for-profit triathlon. Since 1983, we have provided the triathlon community with a world-class event. Since our founding we have led the Bay County community in promoting health and wellness for the youth of the area.
